Senior Systems Analyst

Job Summary:

This position provides project management and analysis for systems development and implementations and other IT initiatives.

Principle Accountabilities

• Provides direction on projects with minimal oversight. This includes the pre-implementation activities of needs assessment, requirements definition and resource planning.
• Works with business areas to understand problems and requirements with the system and recommends and develops specifications to resolve them.
• Manages and oversees the system development process including the strategic plan, systems analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and turnover to QA/production.
• Prepares detailed functional specs for development activities.
• Maintains extensive knowledge and expertise of business processes and/or technical areas.
• Works with management to manage vendor and internal customer relationships.
• Develops technical or business process expertise through mentoring and team coaching.

Primary Relationships

This position will interact with in-house and/or outside IT staff assigned to a project. In addition, this position may interact with departmental managers and may direct personnel from other departments within the company. This position will also interact with IT Project Managers to coordinate project schedules, resource allocations, departmental goals and budgets.
