Winter Storm Update
This unprecedented inclement winter weather is causing many issues for our valued members. Power outages and sub-zero temperatures can sometimes result in frozen plumbing pipes that may rupture and cause leaks. If you have an unfortunate pipe break due to the freezing temperatures and it has caused a water leak in your home, we will be here for you.
It is important to try and mitigate the damages caused by a ruptured pipe. The first step is to shut off the water supply before the point of the leak. It is sometimes necessary to shut off the line at the main water meter that is many times located near the curb in front of your home. Depending on the location of the leak, however, it may be possible to close the valves near your water heater.
Once the water has been shut off, you or your plumber may make repairs to the plumbing system. If it is necessary to remove damaged furniture, ceiling, wall, and/or flooring material, you may do so. We ask that you have the damaged property available for viewing by your adjuster and that you do not make any permanent repairs before an inspection by your assigned adjuster.
We request your patience as we work to get all claims reported and assigned to adjusters so they may help you with questions and the resolution of your claim.
Claims can be filed online using the MyRVOS customer portal or by calling 800-792-3084.
